Modibbo Adama University VC Inspects, Commissions Renovated CBT Centre, Commends ICT Directorate
The Vice-Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, Professor Ibrahim Umar, last week Saturday inspected and officially commissioned the newly renovated and remodelled Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre of the Department of Training and Support Services under the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
The renovation of the facility, carried out under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, reflects the university's commitment to modernising its ICT infrastructure and providing a conducive environment for computer-based examinations, training, and other digital services.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Professor Umar commended the Directorate of ICT, particularly the Coordinator of the Training and Support Services Department, Dr. Abubakar Mohammed Jungudo, for his dedication, innovation, and commitment to transforming the CBT Centre.
He noted that the upgraded facility is a testament to what can be achieved through initiative, teamwork, and effective leadership.
The Vice-Chancellor urged directors, heads of departments, and unit heads across the university to emulate the Training and Support Services Department by introducing innovative ideas and projects that will further enhance the institution's growth and development.
Following the commissioning, members of the university management were taken on a guided tour of the renovated facility, where they were briefed on the improvements and new features introduced to enhance the centre's functionality and capacity.

In his remarks, Dr. Abubakar Mohammed Jungudo expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for approving the renovation and remodelling of the CBT Centre and for his unwavering support towards the Department's initiatives.
He reaffirmed the Department's commitment to sustaining high-quality ICT services and contributing to the university's digital transformation agenda.
The ceremony was attended by principal officers and members of the university management and concluded with a brief reception hosted by the Department of Training and Support Services in appreciation of the dedication and contributions of its staff.
The commissioning of the renovated CBT Centre marks another milestone in Modibbo Adama University's efforts to strengthen its ICT facilities and improve service delivery in support of teaching, learning, research, and innovation.
