MOUAU Graduate Ranks Among Nigeria’s Top Three Best Engineering Graduates at COREN Assembly
A graduate of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Arthur Chinonyerem Amadike, has emerged among the Top Three Best Engineering Graduates in Nigeria at the 2026 Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities (CODET) National Best Engineering Graduate Competition.

A graduate of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Arthur Chinonyerem Amadike, has emerged among the Top Three Best Engineering Graduates in Nigeria at the 2026 Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities (CODET) National Best Engineering Graduate Competition.
The prestigious recognition was announced during the 34th Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) Engineering Assembly held at the Velodrome, Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Amadike, a graduate of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, MOUAU, received the award from the President of COREN, Engr. Prof. Sadiq Zubair Abubakar, after distinguishing himself in the highly competitive national examination.
The competition featured 23 universities across Nigeria, with each institution nominating its most outstanding engineering graduate from the 2024/2025 academic session. The nominees were assessed through a rigorous examination organised by CODET to determine the best engineering graduates nationwide.
Amadike, who graduated from MOUAU in 2025 with First Class Honours, scored 252 out of 300 marks to secure a joint third-place position in the national ranking.
According to the official results released by CODET, Madumere Samuel Onyekachi of Landmark University emerged winner with 261/300 marks, while Mezie-Oscar Francis of Achievers University, Owo, placed second with 255/300 marks. Amadike shared the third position with Kayode Elizabeth Omolara of the University of Ilorin, as both candidates recorded 252/300 marks.
The achievement further highlights MOUAU’s growing contribution to engineering education and its commitment to producing graduates with strong technical competence, innovative abilities and problem-solving skills required for national development.
The recognition also reinforces the university’s reputation for academic excellence and its role in developing future professionals capable of advancing Nigeria’s engineering and technological sector.
