MTN Technical Crew Visits McPherson University for Facility Upgrade
A technical crew from MTN has visited McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, to upgrade its facilities and improve telecommunications services on campus. The visit is aimed at enhancing network connectivity and providing better services to students and staff.
The development follows a recent management visit to MTN’s office in Ikeja, Lagos, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Francis Adegbaye Igbasan. The engagement paved the way for the technical assessment and upgrade of the University’s facilities.
Speaking on the initiative, university officials noted that reliable telecommunications services are critical to modern teaching, learning, research and administration. The upgrade is expected to improve internet access, call quality and overall network coverage across lecture halls, hostels, offices and other areas on campus.

The MTN technical team carried out an on-site assessment of existing infrastructure and commenced work on areas identified for improvement. The project is expected to deliver stronger signal strength and more stable connectivity for both academic and administrative activities.
The initiative is part of the University’s ongoing efforts to ensure a conducive environment for teaching, learning and other academic activities, while providing students and staff with improved access to essential services and modern facilities.
