Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Clarifies School Fees and Third Semester Program

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, has issued a statement addressing concerns about school fees and the third semester program.

During an expanded security meeting on September 23, 2024, Professor Liman emphasized that the university has not increased school fees, contrary to misinformation spread by some individuals.

The university reassures students and parents that school fees remain the same, ranging from ₦65,100 to ₦103,000 for new students and ₦27,700 to ₦41,250 for returning students .

Professor Liman clarified that the third semester program is optional and not mandatory. It caters to students with multiple carry-overs, providing an opportunity to clear their courses within a three-week period. Students are required to pay ₦20,000 per course to cover lecturers' emoluments .

 The increments will involve student input and inclusivity. The third semester program is a novel innovation adopted by many Nigerian universities.
