Nasarawa State University Launches Maiden Registry Seminar to Honor Distinguished Administrators
Nasarawa State University, Keffi, marked a significant milestone on Friday, October 10, 2025, with the inaugural edition of its Registry Seminar Series, held at the University’s Assembly Hall to honor two distinguished administrators, Dr. Zhebu Musa Oliver and Mr. Zamani Habu Ibrahim, who recently returned from national assignments.
Nasarawa State University, Keffi, marked a significant milestone on Friday, October 10, 2025, with the inaugural edition of its Registry Seminar Series, held at the University’s Assembly Hall to honor two distinguished administrators, Dr. Zhebu Musa Oliver and Mr. Zamani Habu Ibrahim, who recently returned from national assignments.

Themed "Servicing Committees and Panels: The Strategic Roles of University Administrators," the event drew senior university officials, staff, and guests from sister institutions, blending professional discourse with a celebration of the honorees’ exemplary service.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Fellow UNESCO ACLS, FIIFP, CBER, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Dr. Halima Aliyu Doma-Kutigi, opened the seminar with congratulations to the honorees, describing it as a platform for reflection, shared learning, and professional development. She emphasized its role in enhancing the Registry’s strategic functions in university governance across Nigeria.
University Registrar Dr. Bala I. Ahmed II delivered a welcome address, expressing gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for her support and praising the honorees for their professionalism and contributions to institutional growth. He underscored the Registry’s critical role in the state and national educational landscape.

Goodwill messages from Director of Works ESV Ibrahim Jibrin Mairiga, Director of Physical Planning Engr. Ahmed Liman, and Special Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor Mal. Muhammad D. Nasiru lauded the honorees, encouraging continued dedication to the university’s mission. Dr. Muhammad Jibrin Zakari, Registrar of Federal Technical College, Keana, commended the seminar series’ launch and urged legacy-building through service and innovation.
Dr. Zhebu Musa Oliver, former Registrar of the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia, and Mr. Zamani Habu Ibrahim, former Registrar of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, responded with gratitude. Oliver highlighted team efforts in administrative excellence, while Ibrahim stressed collaboration between the University Council and Management, advocating for teamwork and knowledge-sharing.
In his paper presentation, Dr. Ahmed II elaborated on the seminar theme, calling committees and panels the “backbone of decision-making, policy formulation, and governance.” He outlined challenges like scheduling and documentation, proposing reforms such as governance training, clear promotion pathways, and digitization of processes to boost efficiency.
