Nasarawa State University Lecturer Professor Mayange Delivers 49th Inaugural Lecture

Nasarawa State University, Keffi, witnessed a significant academic milestone on February 5, 2025, as Professor Levi Terzungwe Mayange delivered the 49th Inaugural Lecture.

The lecture, titled "Rehabilitation of Post-Marital Imbalance of Married Couples in Nigeria: Mental Health Counseling Approach," showcased Professor Mayange's expertise in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling.

The lecture emphasized the crucial role of mental health counseling in addressing post-marital imbalances in Nigeria. Professor Mayange highlighted the importance of a comprehensive approach to mitigating emotional and psychological distress, promoting healthy communication patterns, conflict management, and relationship rebuilding amongst couples.

 

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Saadatu Hassan Liman, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Abdullahi Sallau Moddibo, congratulated Professor Mayange on his achievement and reiterated the university's commitment to encouraging and supporting professors in sharing their expertise and research findings.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including the ERCC President, Very Reverend Dave Denji, and other senior clergy members. The highlight of the event was the presentation of a plaque of honor, medal, and certificate to Professor Mayange.

 

The inaugural lecture was preceded by a book launch and the cutting of a birthday cake to commemorate Professor Mayange's golden jubilee.
