The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has commended Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for prioritizing education in the 2025 budget, which allocates ₦78.1 billion to the sector—20.4% of the total budget estimate.
Describing the allocation as unprecedented in the state's history, Professor Liman praised the governor’s foresight in recognizing education as the foundation for sustainable development. She also highlighted his continued support for NSUK, particularly his recent approval of a 4.5-kilometer internal road network construction within the university.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that these interventions have contributed to NSUK's recognition as the second-best state university in Nigeria, according to the latest Times Higher Education rankings.
Governor Sule, who serves as the university's Visitor, recently presented the ₦382 billion "Budget of Economic Growth and Stability" to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for consideration.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism that this focus on education would drive long-term growth and stability across the state.
