NBTE Approves Increased Carrying Capacity for Key Programmes at Federal Polytechnic Oko

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has officially granted approval to the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, to increase the admission carrying capacity for several of its popular National Diploma (ND) programmes.

The approval, which takes effect from the 2025/2026 academic session, allows for one additional stream each in the following departments:

ND Science Laboratory Technology

ND Business Administration and Management

The decision was communicated via a formal letter signed by Dr. (Mrs.) Fatima Kabir Umar, Director of the Polytechnic and Allied Programmes Department, on behalf of the NBTE Executive Secretary. This development follows a successful resource inspection conducted by the Board between December 10 and 12, 2025.
