The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has formally confirmed the successful disbursement of ₦795.7 million in student loan funds from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). The disbursement is aimed at covering the tuition fees for 6,385 students of the institution for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In an appreciation letter dated March 9, 2026, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Isa Kida, commended NELFUND for its transparency and dedication to supporting higher education. The Vice-Chancellor described the NELFUND initiative as a critical pillar of the Federal Government's Renewed Hope Agenda, championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He emphasized that such financial support ensures that talented students can pursue their academic goals without interruption due to financial constraints.

Successful applicants at FULafia are encouraged to remain focused on their studies. For those who have already made private payments for their school fees before the disbursement, the university management typically provides a window for documentation and possible refunds through the Students' Accounts Section.
