New FCE Eha-Amufu Governing Council Chairman Makes First Visit to Campus
Hon. Prince Melubari Akekue, newly appointed Chairman of the Governing Council at Federal College of Education (FCE) Eha-Amufu, made his first visit to the institution. He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his appointment and vowed to support the President's Renewed Hope Agenda by addressing key issues such as campus security and water supply. Akekue called for collaborative efforts to advance the College’s development.
The Federal College of Education (FCE) Eha-Amufu welcomed its new Governing Council Chairman, Hon. Prince Melubari Akekue, during his inaugural visit to the institution.
In his address, Hon. Akekue expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing him to this role. He praised the President for his commitment to enhancing affordable and quality education in Nigeria, aligning his own goals with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Akekue emphasized his intent to collaborate closely with the Federal Government, particularly with Education Minister Prof. Tahir Mamman, to address pressing issues such as security and the long-standing problem of inadequate access to potable water on campus. Currently, students rely on stream and commercial water sources, highlighting the need for urgent improvement.
The new Chairman acknowledged the efforts of the Provost and her team, urging them to work together to elevate the College’s standards. He advocated for a collective approach to progress, stating, "Let us do this together," and inspiring a vision of transformative change through unity and collaborative effort.
In response, Provost Prof. (Mrs.) Pauline Ngozi Ikwuegbu extended her appreciation for the Chairman's visit and pledged the College's commitment to working in harmony with the Governing Council. She assured her readiness to support initiatives aimed at accelerating the institution’s growth and enhancing its academic and administrative excellence.
