The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its 13th Regular Course Degree Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to the announcement, the sale of application forms opens on Tuesday, June 3, 2026, and closes on Tuesday, July 15, 2026.

The institution outlined strict eligibility requirements for prospective candidates seeking admission into the programme.

Requirements

Applicants must:

Be of Nigerian origin by birth
Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
Present a 2026 UTME result
Obtain a minimum of six credits in WAEC, NECO or equivalent examinations, including English Language and Mathematics
Be between 16 and 21 years of age as at October 31, 2026
Meet specified physical standards, including minimum height requirements of 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females
Have a minimum chest measurement of 86cm (34 inches expanded) for male candidates
Be unmarried and not pregnant at the time of admission
Be medically, physically and psychologically fit

Application Procedure

Candidates are required to:

Visit the Nigeria Police Academy admission portal
Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) of ₦6,000
Complete the online application form and upload required documents
Submit the application and print the confirmation page

The Academy offers programmes under the following faculties:

Faculty of Humanities
Faculty of Science
Faculty of Social and Management Sciences
Faculty of Law (Note: No admission into Law for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic sessions)

Successful candidates will undergo combined academic and police training, after which they will be commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).
