MAPOLY Introduces National Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for 2026/2027 Academic Session

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has announced the commencement of the admission process for its National Diploma (ND) programme in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The new programme is being offered following the approval by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) of the National Diploma curriculum in Artificial Intelligence for Nigerian polytechnics.

The introduction of the programme reflects the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence, while its curriculum is designed to provide students with practical and hands-on training in the field.

The programme covers key areas including:

• Programming

• Artificial Intelligence laboratories

• Digital systems and microcontrollers

• Artificial Intelligence projects

• Capstone components

• Other related areas of Artificial Intelligence.

Candidates who scored 100 and above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to apply, provided they selected Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME and have uploaded their O’Level results on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

Candidates who did not select MAPOLY as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME but wish to study Artificial Intelligence are required to process a Change of Institution and Change of Course through the JAMB portal.

Such candidates are required to make Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, their first-choice institution and Artificial Intelligence (AI) their first-choice course before obtaining the MAPOLY application form.

Prospective applicants have been advised to carefully review the admission requirements before commencing their applications through the official portal.

The management also cautioned parents, guardians and prospective applicants to beware of fraudulent individuals who may present themselves as agents or representatives of the Polytechnic.

MAPOLY stated that it does not engage third parties or agents in its admission process.

All eligible applicants will be considered for provisional admission strictly on the basis of merit and presentation of the required credentials, in accordance with the Polytechnic’s admission guidelines.
