Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Nigeria, witnessed a celebration of its past leaders as the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Carol Arinze-Umobi, honoured former Vice Chancellors who shaped the institution's journey and legacy, on November 7, 2025.

Prof. Arinze-Umobi gathered and celebrated past Vice-Chancellors for their visionary leadership and contributions to UNIZIK's growth.

Included Prof. Pita Ejiofor (represented by Dr. Onyinye Eneh), Prof. Ilochi Okafor, SAN, Prof. Boniface Egboka (represented by Mr. Kizito Okonkwo), Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, FAS (represented by Prof. Gladys Ahaneku, mni), and Prof. Charles C. Esimone, FAS.
