No University Can Survive Without TETFUND …Prof. Gumel
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, has stated that none of the Nigerian universities and other tertiary institutions could have functioned without the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Intervention.
The Vice Chancellor, who was represented by the DVC (Academics), Professor Sani Muhammad Gumel, on Thursday, 15 September 2022 in his office when he received the North-West Zonal Director of TETFUND, Dr. Bilkisu Zangon Daura, noted that the
establishment of TETFUND was the
best ever initiative of the government
in addressing the problems of the
education sector.
“Without any fear of contradiction, Iam of the firm belief that if not for the coming of TETFUND only God will by now know what would have been the fate of Nigerian tertiary institutions, particularly the universities. Certainly, it is your organization that is keeping the university system alive,” he noted.Professor Gumel, while appreciating the numerous intervention of the agency to the development of Bayero University, pointed out that the

He congratulated the Zonal Director on her posting and promised to work together for greater success.
