Northern Youth Assembly Seeks Partnership with Northwest University Kano for "All Kano Youth Conference 2026

A delegation from the Northern Youth Assembly (NYA), a platform dedicated to mobilizing and empowering young people across Northern Nigeria for regional development, paid a courtesy visit to the management of Northwest University Kano on December 30, 2025, to solicit partnership for an upcoming major conference.

The "All Kano Youth Conference 2026: Setting Agenda for the Development of Kano State" aims to galvanize youth participation in constructively addressing critical issues facing the region, including economic development, political participation, social cohesion, and security challenges.

Speaking during the meeting held at the Vice-Chancellor’s office, the team leader, Dr. Habib, explained that Northwest University Kano was selected as a key partner due to its growing academic profile and demonstrated commitment to societal development. Dr. Habib emphasized the conference's intended national and international scope, designed to attract wide participation from diverse stakeholders.

The Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Kano, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for the Assembly selecting the institution as a potential host. Professor Bayero highlighted the University's mandate to address societal challenges through research and community engagement.

Assuring the NYA of the University's full support, Professor Bayero described the project as a "historic initiative" and noted that partnerships and collaborations form a core component of her forthcoming 14-point agenda.
