NOUN Deputy Vice-Chancellor Commends NAF Study Centre for Smooth PoP Examinations
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Shehu Usman Adamu, has praised the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base Special Study Centre in Kaduna for the smooth conduct of the ongoing 2025_2 Pen-on-Paper (PoP) examinations.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Shehu Usman Adamu, has praised the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base Special Study Centre in Kaduna for the smooth conduct of the ongoing 2025_2 Pen-on-Paper (PoP) examinations.
Prof. Adamu visited the centre on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, to monitor the examinations and expressed satisfaction with the high level of organization, discipline, and commitment demonstrated by both staff and students. He noted that the exercise reflects NOUN’s dedication to maintaining credibility, transparency, and excellence across all its study centres nationwide.
Responding to concerns raised during the visit, Prof. Adamu assured that the University Management would address critical issues and reiterated NOUN’s commitment to providing conducive environments for teaching, learning, and assessment. He commended the centre’s staff for their professionalism and urged them to continue upholding the University’s core values of integrity, innovation, and inclusivity within its open and distance learning model.
The Acting Centre Director, Mrs. Abimbola Esther Frank, briefed the DVC on the centre’s operations, noting a current student population of about 700. She highlighted that the major challenge remains the lack of a sufficiently accommodating examination hall, which necessitates conducting examinations in multiple daily batches.
