NOUN Inducts New ACTU Members, Reaffirms Commitment to Transparency and Accountability
The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability and ethical governance with the inauguration and induction of newly-appointed members of its Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) Committee.
The induction ceremony, held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, brought together the university’s principal officers, officials of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), members of the ACTU Committee, and other stakeholders committed to promoting integrity within the institution.

The inauguration serves as a strategic reinforcement of NOUN's domestic anti-corruption infrastructure. By partnering directly with the ICPC, the university aims to strengthen internal oversight mechanisms, eliminate administrative loopholes, and cultivate a culture of compliance across all its study centers nationwide.
The newly inducted ACTU members are tasked with monitoring institutional processes, conducting preliminary investigations into systemic vulnerabilities, and implementing ethical codes of conduct among staff and students alike. University management emphasized that the committee will operate with full structural autonomy to ensure unhindered oversight.
