NSUK Strengthens Institutional Ties with Ministry of Regional Development

The management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has continued its drive for strategic partnerships with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), as a delegation from the university paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Momoh, on Thursday, October 17, 2025.

The management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has continued its drive for strategic partnerships with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), as a delegation from the university paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Momoh, on Thursday, October 17, 2025.

Leading the team, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Halima Aliyu Doma-Kutigi, congratulated the Minister on his appointment and commended his visionary leadership in repositioning the newly established Ministry to promote balanced regional development, national cohesion, and sustainable growth.

She also applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for creating the Ministry of Regional Development, describing it as a timely intervention to address inequalities and stimulate economic progress across all regions. Dr. Doma-Kutigi reiterated NSUK’s readiness to collaborate with the Ministry through research, policy development, and academic support that align with national development goals.

In his response, Hon. Abubakar Momoh thanked the NSUK delegation for the visit and emphasized the importance of academic institutions in driving regional development initiatives. He expressed the Ministry’s willingness to partner with the university, particularly in skill acquisition programmes, entrepreneurship training, and alternative energy projects through NSUK’s Entrepreneurship Development Centre.

The visit concluded with the presentation of a university souvenir to the Honourable Minister and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
