NWUK IJMB Students Begin Final Examinations as ABU Zaria Team Validates Centers
The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) students of Northwest University Kano (NWUK) on Tuesday, 16th June 2026, commenced their final examinations at the Directorate of Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) Study Centre, located at the Murtala Muhammad Library, Ahmadu Bello Way, Kano.
Speaking on the commencement of the examinations, the Director of the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE), Dr. Lawan Idris, expressed confidence in the preparedness of the students, stating that all necessary arrangements had been put in place to ensure a smooth and successful conduct of the exercise.
According to him, the students have undergone adequate academic preparation and are fully ready to face the examinations. He commended both the management of the university and the academic staff for their commitment towards ensuring quality teaching and learning throughout the duration of the programme.

Dr. Idris also offered prayers for the success of all the candidates, wishing them excellent performance in the examinations and a smooth transition into higher academic pursuits.
Meanwhile, in preparation for the examination exercise, a team of examiners and officials from the IJMB Headquarters, ABU Zaria, led by Dr. Hafsat Usman Kassim paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Kano, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero in her office.
The visit provided an opportunity for discussions on the conduct of the examinations and reaffirmed the commitment of both the university and the IJMB authorities to maintaining the integrity, credibility, and high standards associated with the programme.
The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the visiting team and reiterated the university's commitment to supporting programmes that expand access to quality higher education and provide alternative pathways for students seeking university admission.
The commencement of the 2026 IJMB final examinations further highlights Northwest University Kano's dedication to academic excellence and its continued efforts to provide students with opportunities for educational advancement through reputable pre-degree programmes.
The examination exercise is expected to continue according to the timetable approved by the IJMB Headquarters.
