OGITECH Begins New Era with Inauguration of 3rd Governing Council

The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, on Thursday, 13th November, 2025, inaugurated her 3rd Governing Council in a ceremony that reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to discipline, innovation, and excellence.
During the event, the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, alongside the newly appointed Council Chairman, Chief Ayotunde Odulaja, pledged to build on OGITECH’s strong legacy and strengthen its position as one of Nigeria’s most dynamic and forward thinking polytechnics
In his inaugural address, Chief Odulaja expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the confidence reposed in the new council. He assured stakeholders that the Governing Council would uphold the values that have shaped the institution, while driving policies that promote transparent governance, fairness, and collaboration.
He also paid tribute to past leaders, including Chief Kola Sorinola and Evangelist Kehinde Akinsoji, acknowledging their contributions to the growth of the Institute. Chief Odulaja emphasized the importance of continuity and outlined his vision under the Council’s guiding mantra, “Omo Ògùn, Isé yá.” He further reaffirmed the council’s dedication to supporting the Institute’s vision and fostering harmonious working relationships that will propel OGITECH to greater heights.
Similarly, the Rector, Dr. Oluseye, appreciated His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun for reconstituting the Governing Councils of state owned polytechnics and for returning members who previously served on the 2nd Governing Council. He commended this decision as thoughtful and strategic, while also acknowledging the unwavering commitment of the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu, to advancing education in Ogun State.
The Rector urged all council members to rededicate themselves to the responsibilities before them, describing the opportunity to serve as a call to imprint their names in gold by working collectively for the continued growth of the institution.
The inaugural meeting signified a renewed dedication to higher standards, purposeful development, and ingenuity, reinforcing OGITECH’s identity as a hub of industrious and creative minds in Ogun State."
