The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, on Friday, 5th September 2025, hosted a one-day workshop for its cleaners and gardeners at the institution’s Multi-purpose Hall with the theme “Maintaining a Clean and Safe Working Environment.”

The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, on Friday, 5th September 2025, hosted a one-day workshop for its cleaners and gardeners at the institution’s Multi-purpose Hall with the theme “Maintaining a Clean and Safe Working Environment.”

The Director of Entrepreneurship and Chairman of the OGITECH Environmental Maintenance Committee, Mr. Waliu Akingbade, who represented the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, urged participants to apply the knowledge gained from the training to their daily responsibilities. He reaffirmed the Management’s commitment to providing the necessary resources to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Guest Speaker, Dr. Tomiwa Ogunjobi, Medical Director at the OGITECH Health Centre, highlighted essential tips on public healthcare and workplace safety guidelines, while Mrs. Remilekun Akinpelu, a seasoned cleaner from a medical facility in Lagos, shared her expertise and practical experiences on maintaining hygiene standards.

The Director of Works and Maintenance, Engr. Muideen Fatai, commended Dr. Oluseye’s leadership for prioritizing human and infrastructural development, describing the workshop as the maiden edition that reflects the administration’s commitment to excellence.

In his vote of thanks, the Assistant Director of Works, Mr. Temidayo Adebayo, expressed appreciation to the Management and guest speakers for their contributions. Other dignitaries present included the Dean of the School of Environmental Studies, Arc. Olalekan Oginni, and other staff members. The workshop emphasized Dr. Oluseye’s vision for OGITECH, anchored on his mantra of “Development, Development, Development.”
