'Our University is Not Aware of Any Court Case,' says OAU PRO on Court Injunction to Halt Admission Process*
Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has distanced itself from reports of a court injunction halting its 2025/2026 admission process.
The university's Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju, stated that the institution is not aware of any court case and will only respond when officially served court documents.
- The university does not react to social media trends regarding court rulings or judgments.
- OAU will respond accordingly and appropriately when properly served by the plaintiff(s).
- As of now, the university is not aware of any court case related to the admission process.
A Federal High Court in Enugu had ordered OAU and the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to suspend their admission processes for the 2025/2026 academic session. The court's decision was based on a suit filed by a group of aggrieved candidates who alleged irregularities in the post-UTME process.
