Nigeria First Lady Commemorates World Teachers' Day 2025

Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has marked World Teachers' Day 2025 with a passionate plea to address the global teacher shortage.

World Teachers' Day, celebrated on October 5, recognizes the vital role teachers play in providing quality education and shaping the future of society. The day was proclaimed by UNESCO in 1994 to commemorate the adoption of the UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers.
