OWSD-GOU and Okoli Chisom Foundation Launch “Pad a Child & STEM Outreach” to Empower Girls

The Godfrey Okoye University branch of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), in partnership with the Okoli Chisom Foundation, will host the “Pad a Child & STEM Outreach” on 26th September 2025.

The initiative aims to provide sanitary pads to secondary school girls, promote STEM education and mentorship, and offer interactive sessions on menstrual health, nutrition, and science awareness.

Designed to restore dignity, reduce school absenteeism, and inspire young girls, the program encourages participants to envision themselves as future leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

This partnership underscores a commitment to supporting girls’ education and personal well-being, creating opportunities for brighter futures in STEM across Nigeria.
