Poly Ibadan Mass Comm Alumni Set for Grand 20th Anniversary Celebrations and Community Initiatives

The alumni association of the Mass Communication department at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, known as the Ascom Class of Presidents (Ascom CoP) 1998/2004 set, has announced plans to commemorate their 20th anniversary reunion. The group intends to inaugurate a solar-powered system for their alma mater's department and extend a similar gesture to The Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa.

Yekeen Akinwale, head of the anniversary media committee, stated that Tunde Muraina, chairman of the central working committee (CWC), outlined various activities to mark the occasion. These include health clinics, capacity-building sessions, business promotions, and a thanksgiving event. Awards will also be presented to outstanding members, former lecturers, and deceased colleagues.

Under the theme "Ascom Class of Presidents 20th Anniversary Reunion: Today, Tomorrow, Together," the celebrations began in March 2024 and will culminate in August 2024 with a grand finale and the election of a new executive team.
