PPFN Expands Operations to Ogbomoso, Announces Free Medical Outreach at LAUTECH

The Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) has extended its operations to Ogbomoso, with plans to conduct a free medical outreach at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Health Centre.

The outreach is scheduled to hold on 18th and 19th November 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

Founded in 1958, PPFN has remained a key player in promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Nigeria. The organization was originally established to tackle issues such as unwanted pregnancies, child abandonment, and unsafe abortions, but has since expanded its focus to include adolescent reproductive health, HIV/AIDS response, and humanitarian support during disasters and conflicts.

PPFN is an accredited member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), a global network with operations in more than 200 countries.

She revealed that partnerships have already been established with five cluster facilities across the city to enhance healthcare accessibility.
