Prof. Kida Reaffirms FULafia’s Support for Anti-Harassment Campaign, Zero-Tolerance Campus Policy

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, has reaffirmed the University’s commitment to policies and campaigns that promote institutional development and a safe learning environment.

Represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Prof. Ilemona Adofu, at the second day of the FULWiA programme, Prof. Kida said the University would continue to support initiatives that contribute to the development of FULafia.

Earlier, President of FULWiA and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, welcomed participants and urged female students to make responsible decisions. 

She emphasised FULWiA’s commitment to building a campus with zero tolerance for sexual harassment and appreciated University Management for its support.

Delivering a lecture titled: “Understanding Sexual Harassment on Campus: Recognition, Prevention and Response,”Prof. Chuku described sexual harassment as an abuse of power that can be verbal, physical or visual. 

She encouraged students to know their rights, report incidents promptly and support efforts aimed at creating a safer campus community.
