Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza Appointed Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Sokoto

The Governing Council of Northwest University Sokoto has appointed Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza as the institution's new Vice-Chancellor. Professor Bunza, a renowned academic from the Department of History and International Studies at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

A distinguished scholar, Professor Bunza holds a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degree in History. His impressive academic background is complemented by his fellowships at prestigious institutions, including the LEVENTIS Postdoctoral Research at SOAS, University of London, ISITA Fellow at Northwestern University in Evanston, USA, and SACRI Fellow for Summer School at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj, Romania.

The appointment of Professor Bunza as Vice-Chancellor is expected to bring new leadership and vision to Northwest University Sokoto, building on the institution's commitment to academic excellence and research.
