Professors Adamu and Ofulue Assume Roles as New Deputy Vice-Chancellors at NOUN

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has officially appointed Professor Shehu Usman Adamu as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration (DVC-Admin) and Professor Christine Ofulue as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Technology, Innovation and Research (DVC-TIR).

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has officially appointed Professor Shehu Usman Adamu as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration (DVC-Admin) and Professor Christine Ofulue as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Technology, Innovation and Research (DVC-TIR).

The appointments were confirmed in letters dated 5th September 2025, signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Council, Mr. Oladipo A. Ajayi. Professor Adamu’s letter noted that his election by the University Senate at its 112th Regular Meeting on 28th August 2025, followed by ratification by the Pro-Chancellor and Council Chairman, formally secured his role.

As DVC-Administration, Professor Adamu will assist the Vice-Chancellor in daily university management, with a focus on leadership in administrative governance and institutional management to advance NOUN’s strategic objectives. Professor Ofulue, in her role as DVC-TIR, is expected to drive innovation, technology integration, and research initiatives across the university.

The appointments reflect NOUN’s commitment to strengthening leadership capacity and fostering excellence in academic administration and technological advancement.
