Rector Boosts the Morale of The Security Personnel of the Federal Polytechnic Oko
Rector, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie has aggressively boosted the institution's security personnel by addressing their welfare challenges and promising to do more by providing essential resources to enable them to safeguard the institution.
Rector made the promise in front of the institution's administrative building where a guard of honour was mounted by the security personnel to appreciate the Rector for her continued support to the security unit of the institution.
The Chief Security officer of the institution, Khaki Abdulahi David said they were all out to appreciate the Rector for her administrative prowess.

He noted that the issue of delay in the payment of their salary is now a thing of the past as Rector is presently clearing the salary arrears owned the security personnel by the previous administration.
"Last week, Rector paid two months arrears. She built a new security post at the permanent site of the institution and Ufuma campus. She also considered some security personnel for employment during the last recruitment exercise" he said.
Rector, in her response, thanked the Chief Security officer, Khaki Abdulahi and other security personnel for mounting the guard in her honour saying that the gesture will spur her to do more.
She also praised the security unit for safeguarding the institution when the perimeter fence was pulled down during road construction.
She announced that a team from TETFund will be in the institution this week to begin the process of mounting an alternative energy source, a gesture, she said, will lighten up the institution and also reduce crime.
Principal officers and the management were present during the guard of honour.
