Professor Happi, Founder and Director of IGH (formerly African Centre of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases), is widely recognised for his pioneering research and contributions to strengthening pandemic preparedness and response systems across Africa.
He has earned international acclaim for his scientific leadership, including recognition by TIME Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the world.
During the visit, the university leadership celebrated his achievements and described him as a visionary scholar whose research has significantly elevated Redeemer’s University’s global reputation in scientific innovation and public health research.
