Redeemer’s University, Ede, Nigeria, has joined the global community in marking World Breastfeeding Week 2026 with the theme, “Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works.”

World Breastfeeding Week provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the vital role breastfeeding plays in providing children with a healthy and sustainable start in life.

The annual observance also highlights the importance of strengthening proven practices and support systems that enable mothers and families to make breastfeeding a successful part of early childhood care.
