Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education to Admit 2,000 Students for 2024/2025 Session
Vice Chancellor Prof. Yahaya Bunkure announced the increase and set a minimum cut-off mark of 145, higher than JAMB's national minimum of 140
Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education in Kumbotso, Kano, has been allocated 2,000 admission slots by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the 2024/2025 academic session, up from 1,740 last year.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Yahaya Bunkure announced the increase and set a minimum cut-off mark of 145, higher than JAMB's national minimum of 140. He stressed that meeting this mark does not guarantee admission, as the university will prioritize students with higher scores in competitive subjects.
The university has also invested N370 million in new infrastructure, including lecture halls and staff rooms. Prof. Bunkure warned against cultism and unregistered associations, emphasizing the university's zero-tolerance policy for indiscipline.
