 Prof. Francis Gbore, Vice-Chancellor of Sam Maris University (SMU), has been recognized once again for his outstanding contributions to education and youth development in Nigeria. The South West Youth Parliament (SWYP) bestowed upon Prof. Gbore the prestigious award of "A Trailblazer, a Pillar of Education, and an Icon of Hope to Nigerian Youth."

The award ceremony, held recently, celebrated Prof. Gbore's exemplary leadership and his impactful role in managing student affairs during his tenure as Dean of Student Affairs at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), and now as Vice-Chancellor of SMU.

Rt Hon. Temitope Joseph, Speaker of the SWYP, commended Prof. Gbore for his unwavering commitment to excellence and professionalism. He highlighted the Vice-Chancellor's track record of achievements, describing him as a role model who has significantly influenced the lives of Nigerian youth.

In his acceptance speech, Prof. Gbore expressed gratitude for the honor and pledged to continue his efforts in advancing education and fostering integrity among Nigerian youth. He encouraged the youth to embrace hard work, integrity, and dedication in their pursuits, urging them to contribute selflessly to the nation's development.

The event was attended by other leaders of SWYP, including Hon. Adeniji T. Boluwaji, Adebanji Temitope, Abass Olalekan Kolawole, and Awe Emmanuel T., who echoed praise for Prof. Gbore's leadership and vision.
