SLUK Hosts Maiden Students Sensitization Workshop

The Counselling and Human Development Centre of Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa (SLUK), Jigawa State, recently conducted its maiden Advocacy and Sensitisation Workshop for students from June 30 to July 2, 2025.

The workshop aimed to introduce students to various opportunities in the world of work, entrepreneurial and lifelong careers, and developmental issues that may require professional intervention.

The establishment of the Counselling and Human Development Centre was in response to the university's need to curb student attrition and provide students with access to skills beyond their regular academic programs, in compliance with National Universities Commission (NUC) and Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) directives.
