Sokoto State University (SSU) matriculated 2,352 students for the 2024/2025 academic session during its 11th matriculation ceremony.
Sokoto State University (SSU) has formally welcomed 2,352 newly admitted students into various academic programs for the 2024/2025 session during its 11th matriculation ceremony. The event, held at the university’s main auditorium, marked the official induction of the fresh students into the institution’s academic community.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of SSU, Professor Bashir Garba, congratulated the new intakes and urged them to remain committed to academic excellence, discipline, and hard work. He emphasized the university’s dedication to providing a conducive learning environment, fostering research, and ensuring the holistic development of students.
Professor Garba also reminded the students of the institution’s core values of integrity, diligence, and innovation. He advised them to make the best use of the available resources and adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the university.
The matriculation ceremony was attended by principal officers of the university, faculty members, parents, and well-wishers. The event featured the administration of the matriculation oath, which signifies the students’ formal acceptance into the university and their commitment to abide by its rules.
