In a demonstration of mutual respect, partnership, and commitment to sustainable community development, the Vice-Chancellor of Southern Delta University, Professor Sunny Awhefeada, alongside members of the University Management Team, paid a royal courtesy visit to the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom , His Royal Majesty Ovie Anthony Ibuka 1 and the Council of Chiefs at the royal palace in Ozoro on Monday 1st June 2026.
The royal father and his chiefs warmly received the delegation, showcasing the rich cultural heritage, hospitality, and traditions of the Ozoro Kingdom. The visit provided a platform for fruitful discussions on strengthening the longstanding relationship between the university and its host community, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to supporting one another for mutual growth and development.
