TASUED Appoints Professor Adekunle Adeogun as Acting Vice-Chancellor

The Governing Council of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has approved the appointment of Professor Adekunle Olanrewaju Adeogun, the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor, as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

The decision was reached at the Council’s emergency meeting held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, and the appointment is to take effect from November 4, 2025, following the expiration of the tenure of the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwole Banjo.

In a statement issued by the university, the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Banjo, on behalf of the entire university community, congratulated Professor Adeogun on his appointment and prayed for divine guidance and success as he assumes his new responsibilities.

Professor Adeogun will serve in an acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Vice-Chancellor for the university.
