The management of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has announced the official opening of its Hostel Allocation Portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to an internal memorandum from the Student Affairs Division, dated October 17, 2025, and signed by Offonmbuk M. Ekwere, Principal Assistant Registrar (Accommodation Officer), the portal officially opened on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
The notice, addressed to the Dean of Students, detailed the approved steps for hostel application as follows:
- Visit the official hostel portal via www.uniuyohostels.com
- Click “Register” and fill in the required details to create a hostel account (ensure your passport photo is properly captured).
- On your dashboard, select “Apply for Hostel” and choose your preferred hostel category — Regular (all halls except NEEDS Hall I and New NDDC) or Executive (NEEDS Hall I, New NDDC, and NDDC Medical Hostel).
- Once allocated, applicants will receive an email notification, after which they are to proceed with payment for the allocated bed space and report to the hostel for documentation.
Students needing technical assistance are advised to contact support@uniuyohostels.com.
The University administration further urged students to follow the outlined procedures and apply early, as hostel allocation will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
