Adamawa State University Mandates ID Card Enforcement Across All Campuses for Heightened Security
In a proactive move to secure the university environment, the Management of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, has officially approved the mandatory enforcement of Identification Cards for all staff and students.
The directive, issued in a circular dated January 30, 2026, applies to both the Boni Haruna and Abubakar Barde campuses. According to the institution, this measure is "in pursuit for security of Staff, Students, University Community and Environment."
Recognizing that new members of the university community may not yet possess official ID cards, the Registrar's office has provided the following transitional guidelines:
New Students: Are required to carry and present their official admission letters as a valid form of identification.
New Staff: Those without ID cards are directed to report to the Establishment Office (Block BII) at the Senate Building to collect the necessary Identification Form.
The circular, signed by Mairo Wulfu Ananda (Mrs.), Assistant Registrar (Senior Establishment), underscores a broader regional trend of tightening campus security within Adamawa State. By mandating physical identification, the university aims to streamline access control and ensure the safety of its academic and residential facilities.
This security update follows the recent appointment of key administrative staff and aligns with the Vice-Chancellor’s commitment to maintaining a stable and conducive learning atmosphere. All members of the university community are urged to comply strictly with the directive to avoid embarrassment at security checkpoints.
