The Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has announced the conferment of Honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc. Honoris Causa) degrees on four distinguished Nigerians during its upcoming 16th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled for November 2024.

The Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has announced the conferment of Honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc. Honoris Causa) degrees on four distinguished Nigerians during its upcoming 16th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled for November 2024. The honorees were selected in recognition of their exceptional contributions to their fields and significant impact on society.

The awardees include:

1, Barrister Dr. Taiwo Olayinka Afolabi, founder and CEO of SIFAX Group, is recognized for his leadership in entrepreneurship. His conglomerate operates across various sectors, including maritime, aviation, and hospitality. He will receive a D.Sc. in Entrepreneurship.

2. Prince (Dr.) Oluyemisi Adedoyin Shyllon, a renowned art collector and advocate for Nigerian arts and culture, will be honored for his contributions to the creative arts industry. He will be awarded a D.Sc. in Creative Arts.

3. Otunba Wasiu Jayeola Taiwo, a leader in the textile and fashion industry, will receive a D.Sc. in Clothing and Textiles for his international acclaim and dedication to advancing the industry. He is the proprietor of Wessy College of Arts and Technology and National President of the Tailors Association of Nigeria.

 4. Engineer Jubril Dotun Sanusi, a visionary in the oil and gas, education, and hospitality industries, will be honored with a D.Sc. in Hospitality Management for his entrepreneurial contributions, including his establishment of Ilaji Hotels and Holiday Resorts.

The awards reflect TASUED’s commitment to recognizing excellence and inspiring future generations through the achievements of these extraordinary individuals.
