Toro Council Chair Praises ABU Distance Learning Centre
The Chairman of Toro Local Government Area in Bauchi State, Pharm Abubakar Ibrahim Dembo, has commended Ahmadu Bello University's Distance Learning Centre for its efficiency and excellence, describing it as "one of the best in Nigeria."
Dembo, an alumnus of ABU's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, expressed his gratitude to the institution for instilling the virtues of hard work, discipline, and excellence in him.
During his visit to the university, Dembo discussed potential collaboration with ABU's Distance Learning Centre, highlighting the importance of bringing knowledge closer to the people, especially the youth, through blended learning models. The Education Secretary of Toro Local Government Area, Dr. Muhammad Nasir, echoed Dembo's sentiments, emphasizing the need for partnership to promote education and development in the region.
