FULafia Hosts International Conference on Sugarcane Sector Revival

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has partnered with the Sugarcane Technologists’ Society of Nigeria (STSN) to host the second international annual conference, focusing on the revitalization of the sugarcane industry for national development.

The conference, themed “Renewed Hope of Boosting Sugarcane Value Chains from Farm to Factory for Sustainable Industrial Development,” brought together academics, researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to explore pathways for advancing sugarcane research and sustainable industrial development in Nigeria.

The conference provided a platform for stakeholders to share knowledge, expertise, and experiences in sugarcane production and processing. It also highlighted the need for renewed commitment to investing in the sugarcane industry to achieve sustainable industrial development in Nigeria.
