The Management of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, led by the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, paid a courtesy visit to the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, at his palace on Monday, September 29, 2025.

The Management of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, led by the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, paid a courtesy visit to the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, at his palace on Monday, September 29, 2025.

The UCH delegation was warmly received by the monarch and members of the Soun-in-Council.

In his remarks, Professor Otegbayo explained that the purpose of the visit was to brief the king on the status of the Paki-Otan Medical Centre, an 80-bed facility commissioned last year but yet to commence operations. He noted that the centre was established to serve the people of Paki-Otan and surrounding communities and discussed some of the challenges delaying its take-off. Possible solutions were also explored during the meeting.

Responding, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, expressed appreciation for the management’s visit and commended their commitment to improving healthcare delivery in Ogbomosoland. He pledged his full support toward the smooth commencement of services at the Paki-Otan Medical Centre.
