UDUS Team Emerges Victorious in Legal Pitch Competition

The Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) team has won the Legal Pitch grand finale competition, defeating Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in a closely contested event.

Organized by the Law Students' Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), the competition was held in honor of Prof. Ibrahim Abdullahi, founder of Ibrahim Abdullahi, SAN & CO. Extra Page Law Chambers. The UDUS team, comprising Ibrahim Shabaa and Muhammad Mujahid, both 500-level law students, scored 70 points to narrowly defeat Team ABU, which scored 69 points.

The winning team was awarded ₦150,000. Ibrahim Shabaa expressed his elation and gratitude, stating that the victory brings pride to their faculty and inspires students to participate in such events. He acknowledged the challenges faced during the competition, but noted that they made the experience more rewarding.

Shabaa encouraged law students to participate in extracurricular activities and not shy away from competitions, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and teamwork.
