UEE Inaugurates Central Admission Committee to Strengthen Transparent and Equitable Admissions
The Management of the University of Education and Entrepreneurship (UEE), Akamkpa, Cross River State, has inaugurated the UEE Central Admission Committee to coordinate and oversee admission-related activities across the University for the 2026/2027 academic session and subsequent admission exercises.

The Management of the University of Education and Entrepreneurship (UEE), Akamkpa, Cross River State, has inaugurated the UEE Central Admission Committee to coordinate and oversee admission-related activities across the University for the 2026/2027 academic session and subsequent admission exercises.
The inauguration ceremony took place on August 10, 2026, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office and brought together members of the newly constituted committee, which is chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Patrick N. Asuquo.
The membership of the UEE Central Admission Committee is as follows:

The newly inaugurated committee has been tasked with coordinating admission activities across all Faculties, Departments and relevant Units of the University, while ensuring that the institution’s admission process is conducted in accordance with approved guidelines, institutional policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
In carrying out its mandate, the committee is expected to promote and uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, equity and accountability throughout the admission process.
The committee will also ensure effective coordination among the various academic and administrative units involved in admissions, thereby promoting consistency and reducing bottlenecks in the admission process.
The establishment of the Central Admission Committee further demonstrates the University’s determination to provide a well-organised admission system in which qualified candidates are given equal opportunities and admission decisions are guided by established criteria and due process.
The Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of the Central Admission Committee, Prof. Patrick N. Asuquo, admonished members to approach the assignment with dedication, diligence and a strong sense of responsibility.
He urged members to contribute effectively and meaningfully towards achieving the University’s desired goals in admission, stressing the importance of teamwork and adherence to established procedures in delivering a credible admission exercise.
Prof. Asuquo charged the committee members to bring their wealth of experience, expertise and commitment to bear on the assignment, noting that the success of the University’s admission process requires the collective responsibility and cooperation of all stakeholders.
The Vice-Chancellor further emphasised the need for members to remain guided by the principles of fairness, transparency, equity and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He expressed confidence in the capacity of the committee to deliver on its mandate and contribute significantly to strengthening the University’s admission system.
The inauguration of the Central Admission Committee is part of Management’s broader efforts to strengthen institutional processes and ensure that admission into the University remains accessible, orderly, merit-driven and transparent.
The University Management is committed to providing prospective students with a seamless admission experience while ensuring that all admission procedures are carried out in line with approved academic and regulatory standards.
The Central Admission Committee is therefore expected to work collaboratively with the Admissions Office and other relevant Units to ensure the effective implementation of the University’s admission policies and guidelines.
