UI Holds Post-utme Screening For Over 12,000 Candidates Ahead Of 2026/2027 Admission

The University of Ibadan has held its post-UTME, Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, screening of candidates seeking admission into its twenty-one faculties for undergraduate programmes in the 2026/2027 academic session.

The results have been released but cut-off marks are yet to be determined. 

The Computer Based screening, which commenced on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the 1,500 capacity Computer-Based Testing Centre of the university's Distance Learning Centre, held for three days.

The screening exercise was scheduled in batches on each day to accommodate the over 12,000 admission seekers who registered and were expected to participate in the exercise.

Medical personnel from the University Health Service, Jaja Clinic, were on hand to attend to any medical emergency that may occur in the course of the exercise, while safety officers of the university were also on site to maintain crowd control and ensure the safety of participants and their parents/guardians, who patiently waited within the premises of the Distance Learning Centre under designated canopies.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, fspsp, other principal officers of the university and designated teaching, and non-teaching staff were on hand to monitor the exercise.
