The management of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) has issued an urgent security advisory in response to rising tensions in and around Jos and its environs.

According to a directive from the Vice-Chancellor, all staff, students, and members of the University community are advised to remain vigilant and exercise extra caution in their movements, both on and off campus, with immediate effect.

The University specifically warned members to avoid venturing out very early in the morning as part of precautionary measures to protect lives and property.

The University assured that its Security Division, working alongside allied security agencies, is actively taking steps to ensure maximum safety within and around the campus. Members are urged to remain calm, united, and vigilant during this period.
