UNILAG Announces 2024/2025 Direct Entry Admission Registration Procedures

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced that online registration for Direct Entry (DE) admission into all undergraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 academic year will open on September 30, 2024, and close on October 11, 2024.

UNILAG Announces 2024/2025 Direct Entry Admission Registration Procedures

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially announced the commencement of online registration for Direct Entry (DE) admission into all undergraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 academic year. The registration period will begin on Monday, September 30, 2024, and will close on Friday, October 11, 2024.

Registration Procedure for Eligible Candidates

To participate in the registration process, eligible candidates must follow these steps on the UNILAG website at www.unilag.edu.ng:

  1. Click on "Admissions."
  2. Select "2024/2025 Direct Entry (DE) Application."
  3. Log in using the Direct Entry Application number as the username and surname in lowercase as the password.
  4. Generate and print the payment advice.
  5. Make the required payment of ₦2,000 at any commercial bank or pay online.
  6. Return to the university portal to complete the screening form.
  7. Click on "Continue Application" to finalize the screening form.
  8. Upload relevant results, including First Degree, HND, OND, SDA, JUPEB, Cambridge A’ Level, NCE, NFLV DIP, MUSON DIP, ABRSM, Trinity College London, Baccalaureate, DELF/DALF, and O’level.
  9. Click on "Preview" to verify the accuracy of the supplied data.
  10. Click "Submit."
  11. Print the Direct Entry e-registration slip.
  12. Submit the printed e-registration slip and credentials at the Admission Office, 1st Floor, Room 174, Senate House, UNILAG, from Monday, October 7, to Friday, October 18, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for registration:

  • Must have chosen the University of Lagos as their first choice in the 2024/2025 Direct Entry JAMB application.
  • Must possess five credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Candidates must be at least sixteen years of age by October 31, 2024.

Important Notes

  • All personal details must be consistent across all documents and results.
  • Candidates who fail to participate in the online registration will not be considered for admission.
  • Former students whose admissions were withdrawn for academic reasons may re-apply for a new programme, provided it is different from their previous course.
  • Students expelled from the university are not eligible for fresh admission.
  • The university has a strict policy against drug abuse; newly admitted students testing positive for drug use will have their admissions revoked.
