UNILAG Announces UTME/Direct Entry Screening for 2026/2027 Session

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online screening exercise for admission into all undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to the official timetable, registration will run from Monday, June 15 to Wednesday, July 8, 2026, via the university’s application portal.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must:

• Select UNILAG as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME
• Score a minimum of 200 in the UTME
• Possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than one sitting
• Ensure O’Level results are uploaded on both JAMB CAPS and the UNILAG portal on or before Friday, August 14, 2026
• Be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026

Additional conditions include:

• Candidates must participate in the online Post-UTME aptitude test to be considered
• Active personal email addresses are required for all communications
• Candidates previously withdrawn for poor academic performance may reapply into a different programme
• Expelled students are not eligible for re-admission

Application Fees

• Screening fee: ₦2,000
• Application fee: ₦3,500

Registration Procedure

Eligible candidates are to:

• Visit https://applications.unilag.edu.ng
• Click “Start New Application”
• Select “Undergraduate” under application type
• Log in using UTME registration number (username) and surname in lowercase (password)
• Generate and print payment advice
• Make payment at any commercial bank or online
• Return to portal to complete the form
• Print Post-UTME examination pass

Examination Schedule

• Mock examination: June 22 – July 26, 2026
• Post-UTME aptitude test: July 27 – July 31, 2026

Important Notices

• Candidates who fail to upload required documents or miss the aptitude test will not be considered for admission
• UNILAG has reiterated strict compliance with all guidelines
• The institution maintains zero tolerance for drug abuse; admission may be withdrawn if candidates test positive before or after registration
